EndNote Guide / APA Referencing Guide

This guide provides comprehensive instructions on the installation and use of the reference management software EndNote.

Which fields are required to create visual references in EndNote?

Important instructions:

  • Capitalise the first word in the title and for a two-part title also capitalise the first word of the second part.  Proper nouns in the title require the first letter to be capitalised e.g. World War One roll of honour.
  • Always include a description of the medium or format in the Type of Work field e.g. Photograph, PowerPoint slides.
  • For an untitled photograph include a description of the photograph in the Type of Work field e.g. Photograph series of the tragic famine in Yemen shown through images in which beauty and composure intertwined with devastation.
