Organising your EndNote library
EndNote not only stores references but provides the tools to organise the references to your personal preferences.
EndNote provides the tools to:
- Create groups: Groups and group sets help organise references by paper, topic, assignment etc.
- Searching and sorting references: As your library grows in size, the search and sort tools will make it easier to locate specific references.
- Dealing with duplicates: When new references are added to your library, EndNote does not automatically check for duplication. However, the Find Duplicates function identifies a duplicated reference and enables the deletion of the extra reference.
- Backing up your EndNote Library: It is highly recommended to make a backup copy of your EndNote library, if something goes wrong there is a working copy of your library.
