Please note: If you have an earlier version of the EndNote software on your device make a backup copy of any existing EndNote libraries and then uninstall the earlier version from your device.
Installing EndNote 20/21 on your personal device
To install EndNote 20 on your device, go to the MySIT page and click on the IT Help tab in the top ribbon. This will open in a new tab.
1. Click Browse help articles → 2. Click How do I get Endnote? → 3. Select Mac or Windows version
ALWAYS save EndNote to your Documents folder. NEVER save EndNote libraries to cloud syncing folders such as Dropbox or OneDrive as these corrupt references over time.
When installing on Windows:
Download zip folder → File appears in the bottom left-hand corner or in downloads → 4. Click arrow → 5. Select show in folder
6. Open your downloads → 7. Right click on the EndNote folder → 8. Select Extract All
This will open an extracted version of the folder. 9. Click on ENX9Inst and follow the instructions to install EndNote 20.
