These business.govt.nz webpages are particularly useful for Marketing students:

  • Marketing strategy overview: Our interactive tools and guidance can help you boost customer insights, analyse your business and get set for success.
  • How marketing sets you up for success: Get a clear idea of the tasks involved and think about the insights and budget you’ll need. Then you’ll be ready to set up the right combination of product/service, sales approach and promotion.
  • Get to know your customers: Surveys, conversations and statistics can help you get to know your customers. Knowing your customers helps you to create products and services that sell, and effectively promote them to the right people.
  • What your customers want and how they think: Learn about grouping and targeting customers, how customers make decisions and how to improve the customer journey.
  • Build a brand your customers will love: Learn how to build your brand, customers can find you more easily if you have a strong brand. They’ll understand your business better and feel more connected. So they’re more likely to buy from you and keep coming back.
