Standards New Zealand

To access Standards New Zealand online first type in the following address https://my.sit.ac.nz.   Enter your SIT email address and password to login.

Standards New Zealand is accessed from the library's MySIT page, Click the Library tab in the top ribbon.

Click the Online Databases & Journals tile to open the A-Z of online databases and electronic journals.

The databases are listed alphabetically A to Z.  Locate Standards New Zealand by either typing Standards New Zealand in the title/keyword search bar and clicking search or browsing the letter S section in the alphabet search.

Enter Standards New Zealand by clicking on the title.

To search available standards, type the standard number or search terms into the search bar that says search for a standard in your subscription (NOT the search bar located at the top of the page) and click Search.

To view a standard’s full details, click the title from the results list.

Items in the results list will state each standard’s status.  Standards will be listed as current, superseded, withdrawn or draft.

  • Current: The standard is the most up to date standard for the topic.
  • Superseded: The standard has been replaced by a newer version.
  • Withdrawn: The standard has been withdrawn without a replacement.
  • Draft: The standard is under development.

 

Important:

  • For any standard you may download a single copy and retain that copy on your personal computer for a maximum of five working days. At the expiry of five working days, the standard must be deleted from your computer.
  • You may print one hard copy of any standard for personal use.
