These Floral Design Insitute Resource webpages are particularly useful for Floristry students:

  • Flower School Video Library: The Flower School Video Library is the world’s largest collection of online floral design video demonstrations. Subjects range from flower care and handling, design basics and wedding flowers, to advanced design techniques and styles.
  • Flower School Slideshows: The slideshows offer step by step instructions on a variety of topics including flower care and handling, design basics and wedding flowers, to advanced design techniques and styles.
  • Flower Library: This library holds over 134 of the most popular flowers and foliages used in floral design. Each flower has been pictured and includes the common and botanical names along with the care and conditioning methods, storage temperatures, design notes and problems specific to each flower. You may search for a flower by name or by image.

This Ministry for Primary Industries webpage is particularly useful for Floristry students:

  • Importing cut flowers and foliage: Fresh cut flowers and foliage imported for decorative purposes need to meet New Zealand's biosecurity requirements. MPI helps importers meet these requirements, to prevent the introduction of pests and diseases.  Access information and required documents for importing cut flowers and foliage as well as resources.
